Restorative Yoga
with Erin Ehlers
4pm to 6pm
$25 (Registration is required by March 10th)
Restorative yoga is a unique, effortless approach to yoga. A restorative practice focuses solely on relaxation, essentially, it is an exploration of savasana. Through the use of props and floor and wall support, we create a practice that enables us to release. This restorative practice will bring us through a range of yoga postures--forward bends, back bends, twists and gentle inversions--and in each posture we will bring the body to comfort and bring the mind to quiet. The skill of relaxation is necessary for us to find peace in the stress of our lives, and this workshop will bring us in touch with this peace. This class is open to everyone.
Erin has taught Restorative Yoga workshops throughout the Seacoast for 10 years. She believes that is is important to explore the wide spectrum of yoga to create balance. The practice of Restorative Yoga teaches us that we can practice daily throughout of lives, which is especially important in times of stress and poor health.

Start your season with comfort in your body, clarity in your mind, and balance in your life! For folks who work the land during the growing season, it is too easy to let our well-being get way from us. Before we know it, we are in the midst of our busiest time of year with the aches and the stress that comes with physical work. This 4 week series will include: core strengthening to create a strong back, stretching and flexibility to create a healthy range-of-motion in joints and muscles, basic posture to ensure good body habits in daily movement, and meditation and breath work to keep our minds calm and clear. We will learn a take-home sequence that can be practiced on your own during your work day. Join Erin to start the season with a commitment to well-being and health. This class is open to all levels of experience.
Erin has taught yoga for 10 years throughout the Seacoast, with a focus on alignment and body mechanics. She is a local food advocate and volunteers on area farms.
